Are you getting an iPhone 4 in September here in the Philippines? Or you’re still unsure because the “Death Grip” issue? Don’t worry, Apple said just 0.55% Of iPhone 4 owners have reported antenna problems. And, here’s another one – they will be giving away free cases to address the problem.
Wait, wait, wait, didn’t Apple say recently in their July 16 press conference that they sold 3 million iPhone 4s in 3 weeks?! Then that means, around 16,500 (.55% or 3 million) unhappy owners, thus possibly 16,500 defective iPhones!
Interestingly, the press conference earlier kicked off their event with this song, which parodies the iPhone 4 antenna problems and suggests that the media has blown the issue out of proportion.

there’s an awful lot of hoopla
around the iphone 4 anttenna
when you grip it with the death grip
and you’re call slips awaythe media loves a failure
in a string of success
the facts won’t ever matter
if they can make bigger messessure i can make it happen
but in terms of daily usage
i’ve yet to drop a call
so this whole damn thing is stupidand you can call me a fanboy
i’ve been called worse things
but gizmodo just ridiculous
pulling their anti-apple stringsyou bought a stolen prototype
get over it and move on
or hey even better
let’s all sing this song
