The Number 1 in Postpaid Telecom in the Philippines, Globe, has finally revealed the pricing of the much awaited “resolutionary” New iPad Wifi +Cellular.
In line with the launch, Globe has invited us to attend their launch party at Exchange Plaza tonight at 6pm. Check out website as we liveblog during the event later.
The New iPad (check out our definitive review here) will be available in 2 postpaid service variants: Plan 999 and Plan 499. Aside from cash out prices, the main difference between the 2 services is that the data browsing on the lower variant is capped at 292 hours. The latter has 50 hours on regular browsing rate (2.50/15 minutes). Cash out price is ranging from PhP21,990 – PhP30,990 for Plan 999; and from PhP29,990 to PhP39,990 for Plan 499. There is no announcement yet if Globe will have a prepaid variant. Although for existing iPad 2 Wifi + 3G users, subscribing to prepaid promos can be done through an iPad Globe Services app, which can be downloaded from the App Store for free.
