Build and Specifications

The device has a look of a typical android phone. It is a rebranded phone to fit the needs of the Filipinos of an affordable and good performing android smartphone.

The body of Nitro 400D is made of plastic which gives it a very light weight. The back has a matte type of finish. Though you can see the back as a flat finish, you can feel a bit of a curve feeling when you are holding it.

The first thing that I did when after charging the Nitro 400D is to play a few games on it. Although the display is not really that impressive, the performance is better among other smartphones which is more expensive than Nitro 400D. I was able to play Real Racing 3, Need for Speed Most Wanted, Temple Run 2, Agent Dash, Guns Bros 2, Team Awesome, and of course Candy Crush. Although There is a bit of lag when loading in Real Racing 3 and Need for Speed Most Wanted, the in-game performance is already good for me. The controls runs really smooth and very responsive. I can say that for a person who likes games, this is already a good phone for him.

The social networking and business features are also present in Arc Mobile. It has a stock web browser aside from Google Chrome. Facebook, Instagram, and other Social Networking tools are also present. Like any other Android smartphones, other business application can be downloaded from Google Play Store and most of them are compatible with Nitro 400D.

The Camera of Nitro 400D is good. In fact I have compared it to the shot of Samsung Galaxy Note 2. Of course the Note 2 has a better performance, but Nitro 400D can compete with the other leading brands with the same category. It is a 5MP rear camera and a .3MP front Camera.

The Nitro 400D has a 512RAM and 4GB of ROM which is expandable to 32GB. Running on stock Android 4.1.2. The Nitro 400D also gives you an option to choose where to save applications either in SD card or internal memory.

The not-so-impressive part is the battery life of Nitro 400D. With all of its features it only has 1450 mAh battery which is not-so-acceptable for me for a smartphone. But according to Arc Mobile, that is the power capacity that the unit can handle because of its size. They also said that they are already working on it on how they may be able to improve the battery experience of the succeeding models.
