A new Crumpler concept flagship store has recently opened at the East Wing of Shangri-La Plaza in Mandaluyong. The new store was collaboratively designed with the award-winning architectural firm Russel & George. Its ambiance is so inviting, I almost bought 2 bags and 1 camera strap.
The official opening event was held at Coffee Bean and Tea Leaf infront of the new flagship store. I thought that bag and device protection shop was strategically placed infront of the coffee shop as most yuppies and coffee drinkers nowadays bring laptops or tablets.
Crumpler also took the opportunity to debut the new Outpost Project series of bags as well as the launch of the two new bag models; the Ludicrous Debacle and Proud Stash.
The Outpost Project series (see first 6 photos above) is perfect for travelers who wish to bring their precious gadgets with them. Its array of pouches and zippered pockets make it high functional. Interestingly, Crumpler has named each Outpost Project bag after cities and places that are visited by only the most hardy of travelers: Cobram (Australia), Kashgar (China), Sebang (Malaysia), Aso (Japan), Karachi (Pakistan) as well as our very own Tondo (Philippines).
Both the Ludicrous Debacle and Proud Stash are made from double-layer, tough-but-tender water resistant Field Twill. If you’ve got an iPad and you’re looking for a bag that can double as an office cut-shoulder bag, get the Ludicrous Debacle (7th bag above). If you wish to look hip and if you’re more comfortable in bringing backpacks, get the Proud Stash. Both the Ludicrous Debacle and the Proud Stash bags are available in black, lime, tank green, coral, brick, petrol blue, and sky blue.
The new store, with an interior design specially created for Crumpler by award-winning Australian architects Ryan Russell and Byron George, has slew of cool times. You can find trolly bags, messenger bags, camera straps, wallets and even tablet and phone cases. Take a look at the photos I took inside the store. But of course, I suggest that you drop by their store and feast your eyes with their awesome products.
