ASUS is clearly on a roll! Just last November 5, 2013 at the heart of Bonifacio Global City, Asus Philippines launched the most anticipated Transformer Book T100. The said device is Asus’ first Windows 8 2-in-1 ultraportable laptop with a detachable 10-in tablet HD display.
The said event was attended by members of the media, dealers, Asus, Microsoft OEM and Intel. During the event, ASUS Country Manager, George Su, said that ASUS has been transforming the notebook and mobile industry for 7 years. If you’ve been an avid reader of our website, you’re probably aware that the first netbook we reviewed was the Asus EeePC 1050HA. This year, ASUS is set to transform the industry again and revitalize the hybrid netbook hype of Filipinos.
The Asus Transformer Book T100 is an extremely portable netbook that is perfect for people who want the productivity features of a laptop with the easy portability of a tablet. Take a look at how flexible this device is and how you can easily transform/switch it to tablet or netbook mode on the video below:

Inside the core of the Transformer Book T100 is the new generation Atom processor – Intel Atom Z3740 quad-core processor. According to Intel’s Market Development Manager in the Philippines, Wowie Wong, the T100 is packed with the latest Intel Atom ‘Bay Trail’ Z3740 quad-core processor. This multi-core SoC is the leader in terms of performance and power consumption efficiency.
The T100 with a Z3000 series multi-core SoC has better compute performance and outstanding graphics performance – thanks to its dedicated Intel HD Graphics on board graphics chip. This is even maximized by the device’s 10-inch display with IPS technology. It isn’t full HD, but you’re assured of seeing crisp and quality content on its beautiful screen.
But aside from graphics performance, Asus also managed to install it’s proprietary sound technology, SonicMaster. This technology allows the Transformer Book to deliver the loudest yet crystal clear audio.
And to top everything all off, Asus and Microsoft teamed up to bring the best Windows experience by freely pre-installing it with the latest Windows 8.1, Microsoft Office Home and Student 2013 (Word, Powerpoint, Excel and One Note) and 1-year Free Asus WebStorage – all worth PhP9,000.
Priced at PhP23,995, Asus made sure that the Transformer Book T100 is most affordable 2-in-1 ultraportable Windows 8 laptop; and I, for one, couldn’t agree more.
ASUS also launched 5 more Next Generation Laptops
