We just received a Venus 3 from Kata Digital. Venus 3 is currently priced at PhP3,999 at all Kata Stores, kiosks and Owtel Shop branches nationwide.
Here’s what you can find inside the box:
- Kata Venus 3
- Battery
- Charger
- MicroUSB cable
- Manual
Venus 3 borrowed its looks from the defunct Xperia S (sans the transparent strip). It feels light and can fit pretty well on your pocket. The only part of the phone that attracts finger print is its 4-inch capacitive screen.
Venus V3 obviously belongs to the low-end category in terms of hardware specifications. Surprisingly though, its price is similar to Cherry Mobile’s Flare 2.0, which packs a quad-core processor. This is utterly disappointing in my opinion. Kata should have at least priced this between PhP2,999 to PhP3,499.
Here’s the specs of Kata Venus 3:
- 4-inch touchscreen display
- 1.2GHz dual-core processor
- 512MB RAM
- Expandable 4GB internal memory
- 5MP camera w/LED flash
- 1.2MP front-facing camera
- WiFi 802.11 b/g/n
- Bluetooth 4.0 with A2Dp support
- GPS w/ A-GPS
- Dual-SIM, Dual Standby
- 1,600mAh battery
- Android 4.2 Jellybean
- Dimensions: 124.4 x 63.2 x 11mm
- Weight: 114g
