The wildly anticipated most powerful gaming console to date, the Playstation 4, was finally launched today at Glorietta Activity Center. Hosted by the energetic and colorful Gino Quillamor and Riki Flores, the event was attended by members of the media – both traditional and bloggers, gaming enthusiasts and celebrities.
“Sony has always been in touch with what the gaming community needs and wants. We have always strived to give consumers the best experience in home entertainment, which includes the thrilling roster of PlayStation. It is with great pride that we bring the newest PlayStation4 in the market today,” said President and Managing Director of Sony Philippines, Mr. Yasushi Asaoka.
Surprisingly, Sony also officially launched Playstation Vita, a new entertainment system within the PlayStation family that will allow users to easily access various content on their TV at home. Game titles may be purchased and downloaded online. Sony also showcased the new and cheaper Playstation Vita, which is a rich portable gaming console in its own respect and doubles as second-screen to the PS4.
Benefits of Pre-Purchases and Launch-Day Buyers
During the launch, it was announced that those who pre-purchased and who will buy PS4s today until tomorrow, are entitled to have an additional ONE YEAR WARRANTY COVERAGE in countries where the product has been officially launched (including Singapore, Malaysia, Philippines, Thailand and Indonesia), and the warranty will be valid throughout these countries. Wherever the customers are, they can also have the repair service for their products. That’s really a very good deal… especially for early adopters!
