One of the most trusted and well received brands in the Philippines, O+, has recently announced a new phablet, O+ Fab Go. Fab Go will join O+ Fab Elite as part of its Fab Series.

The new phablet sports a 6″ FWVGA Capacitive Screen, 5mp (w/Flash and AF) rear camera, 2mp front camera and 2,500mAh battery. As for its innards, Fab Go is packed with a Dual Core 1.3GHz processor (with single-core GPU), 1GB RAM and 4GB ROM. Storage is expandable thanks to its MicroSD slot, which can take up to 32gb more.

The new phone+tablet of O+ is installed with Jellybean 4.2.2. O+ didn’t tell us if it is upgradable to Kitkat though. It is also dual-sim/dual standby.

Fab Go

The specs completely reminds me of the Samsung Galaxy Grand. While both has dual core processor, Fab Go is notch faster (Grand has 1.2Ghz vs Fab Go has 1.3Ghz). Oplus’ phablet also has bigger screen, bigger battery and much cheaper. Samsung’s phablet is priced at PhP16,990 while O+ Fab Go’s priced at PhP8,990.

Apart from the mentioned hardware and software specs, the new phablet also has several innovative features such as:

  • Free Back Cover
  • Air shuffle Camera, Photos, Music & FM Radio
  • Flip to silent Alarm
  • Flip to silent Call
  • Shake to answer /hang-up
  • Call & Type
  • Disc Jockey feature
  • Shake to change music
  • Switching of 3G: SIM1 & SIM2
  • Text /Sound memo in photo

What do you think about this, guys? Do you think that this is worth getting as a graduation gift? Tell us your thoughts on the comments section below. We’d to hear from you. Meanwhile, be sure to check out our other O+ articles below:
