You’ve got to register tonight before 11:59 for a chance to pre-register your slot to purchase a Redmi 1s tomorrow at 11am. There’s even one more reason to get more excited and to head on to Mi’s website: simply add PhP10 to receive one of 6 accessory bundles to spice up your brand spanking new Redmi 1S.

But as I’ve said, it’s important that you pre-register now as it’s a requirement to partake on this really awesome deal at Lazada.

Meanwhile, while you’re contemplating on getting this gadget or not, here’s a quick look of what you can find inside its retail box.

This device only costs PhP5,599 on Lazada; and if you add PhP10, which effectively brings the price to PhP5,609, you will receive 1 screen protector, 1 back casing and 1 silicone back cover.

Redmi 1S comes in a hard recyclable cardboard box, similar to Xiaomi Mi3’s. Once opened, the Redmi 1S is placed and fitted in a recess. Just behind the recess, you will find the other materials that come with the phone – charger, micro-USB cable and manuals. I find it really fascinating how Xiaomi neatly packaged their devices.

Xiaomi is particularly after the customer experience. After unboxing the device, I hurriedly removed the screen cover, put in the battery and started using it.

The device has a considerable heft despite its relatively small package. To give you a proper perspective, it’s smaller than Zenfone 5 but heavier. Its matte-textured back cover with Mi logo looks good.

Volume rockers and sleep/wake button are located on its right side, while the 3.5mm headphone jack can be found on top. The micro-USB slot and microphone are placed at the bottom. Just above its gorgeous 4.7″ IPS LCD capacitive touchscreen are the 1.6megapixel front facing camera, earpiece and sensors. Meanwhile, its 8mp (AF), LED and tiny speaker vertical hole are located at the back.

Check out our unboxing video (to be posted in a little bit) and don’t forget to check back for our full review of the device. Let us also know if you grabbed one during the sale period!
