Apple once again amazed us with 2 newly designed iPhones and wowed us with the most beautiful watch we have ever seen, the Apple Watch. Tim Cook named the new iPhones, the iPhone 6 and a much bigger iPhone, the iPhone 6 Plus. He also told the viewers that the release of the new iPhones is the biggest advancement in iPhone history. Both the iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 are redesigned with precision in unibody enclosure which resembles the sides with the first iPhone ever made. Let me discuss with you category by category for you to easily compare it with your iPhone 5s.
DISPLAY
The Apple gods heard our prayers and finally developed a larger iPhone. iPhone 6 has 4.7″ display while the iPhone 6 Plus has 5.5″ display. Both having the new Retina HD display. The iPhone 6 has a resolution of 1334 x 750 with a ppi of 326. The iPhone 6 Plus has a resolution of 1920 x 1080 with 401 pixels per inch. Better resolution, larger screen. What more can you ask for?
THICKNESS
Both new iPhone models are much thicker than the previously released iPhone 5S. As you can see, the iPhone 6 has a thickness of 6.9mm while the iPhone 6 Plus has 7.1mm. Simply unbelievable.
NEW LANDSCAPE VIEW
The iPhone 6 Plus has a bigger screen than any other iPhones so a special landscape homescreen view is designed for the customer’s viewing pleasure. They even included other apps to expand the landscape view like the mail, messages and even the weather.
50 TIMES FASTER PROCESSOR, 84 TIMES BETTER GRAPHICS
Yup! The new iPhone 6 is 50 times faster than the original iPhone and 84 times greater graphics than the previous ones. Definitely a sell-out in case you are a Apple nerd.
CAMERA
iPhone 6 has updated 8MP iSight camera with an all-new sensor which is capable of capturing better pictures and crisper videos.
SOFTWARE UPGRADE
Both the iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus will be having iOS 8 out-of-the-box and other Apple users will get to experience iOS 8 starting September 17 of this year.

THE DIGITAL CROWN
Basically, the Digital Crown is your home button in the Apple Watch. You can scroll, zoom and navigate using the Digital Crown.
FLEXIBLE RETINA DISPLAY
Apple Watch has a new technological display that features a flexible retina display which can distinguish between a press and a hold. It is like a mini iPhone if I must say.
CUSTOMIZABLE APPLE WATCH FACES
Users can change colors, edit the homescreen and add functionality.
SKETCH and DIGITAL TOUCH
You can even send anything that you want to sketch to your loved ones who also have Apple Watch. Digital Touch also lets you to digital tap your partner in the wrist even if he/she miles away. Pretty cool feature.
THREE DIFFERENT DESIGNS
Apple is releasing three different designs whichever you want to purchase. Everything is customizable, the straps and the apple watch faces.
The Apple Watch will be available next year, 2015 at a price tag of $350. Let’s hope that the price here in the Philippines is not far from that price.
