Last June, during my interview with Hugo Barra, he mentioned that there’s a possibility that they’ll open a store in the Philippines apart from just having official service centers. Rejoice, Mi Fans! Xiaomi is set to open its 1st pop-up store in the Philippines this October 23 at SM Megamall.  There is a big catch though – it will be open only 1 week – October 23 to October 29. This means, you’ve got 1 full week try out the recently made available Mi products in the Philippines – Xiaomi Mi 3 and Redmi 1s.

There are plenty of things you can do at the pop-up store. Apart from experiencing and (possibly) purchasing Mi 3 and Redmi 1S, you will also get a chance to see (and probably try) their other products like Xiaomi Mi Piston (In-Ear Earphones) and Powerbanks. Xiaomi also prepared loads of fun activities during the 1-week pop-up store stint.

I’ve got a couple of wishlist, which I hope our friends from Xiaomi would heed:
  • Lots of powerbanks (both 5200 and 10400 mAh variants) that Pinoys can buy
  • Xiaomi Mi 4 on display (I’m okay with just seeing the device. No touch policy is definitely okay)
  • Mi Bunnies that we can buy – it’ll be a sure hit
  • Bring Hugo Barra on Day 1

Let me know if and when you’re going to the pop-up store. I’ll try to drop by there and meet with you guys! Meanwhile, for those of you who are still unfamiliar on how to get to SM Megamall, check out the map below:

For those of you who still hasn’t read our unboxing and review of Xiaomi Mi 3, head on to this link. Mi 3 is also available via Smart Plan 999, which you can also avail if you wish to couple the device with a plan.

Meanwhile, watch out for our quick review of the Xiaomi Redmi 1s soon!
