[su_dropcap style=”flat” size=”5″]O[/su_dropcap]ne can’t deny the fact that we live in a world where new gadgets pop out of nowhere, making people more curious about stuff. When I received this Arc Mobile TV 403D in blue for review, I quickly turned it on and check for the features I might find interesting. Although this isn’t really my cup of tea, I can say that this particular handset didn’t fail to amaze me with the jam-packed specs that are put into a small smartphone.
It looks like a typical, inexpensive smartphone you see in the brochures, posters, and even billboards along EDSA. On the lower front you can see the common buttons: Option key, Home key, and Back key while the VGA front camera can be seen on top. The other side of this sleek smartphone houses the 3.2MP rear camera with a – wait for it! – flash that allows you to capture precious moments when you’re in the dark. Meanwhile, the speaker settles on the phone’s lower back.
With its 4-inch capacitive display, you can enjoy playing games such as 4 Pics 1 Word, which is already pre-installed in the device, and surf the Web. Since it runs on Android 4.2 Jelly Bean, you can have fun browsing your Facebook timeline while checking on your Twitter at the same time. You don’t have to worry about its 1350mAh battery because it won’t leave you hanging. Trust me, I’ve tried and tested this item and it can go for more than 2 days with minimal use of the Internet.
What’s even exciting about this Arc Mobile TV 403D is that it keeps you sane when life gives you nothing but boredom. Just tap the Analog TV and you can select from its 49 channels a particular channel to entertain yourself. That long wait in the bus can be annoying that’s why this smartphone can keep you company. If the signal is too wonky for you to catch your favorite teleserye, then you can go online through Wi-Fi.
As for its storage, you can save movies and music up to 4GB (ROM) while you can download online apps up to 512MB (RAM). The latter can be a downside feature of the phone but hey, you can always count on the ROM. Also, if you’re a busy bee, you can treat this device your digital planner for it has a ToDo feature that allows you to be organized despite the tons of work you have to accomplish.
So should I recommend it? Those who aren’t much of a smartphone savvy can settle for this device. If you’re a TV buff, might as well save P2,599 to grab a hold of this Arc Mobile TV 403D.
