Firefox OS is one of the innovative operating systems in the market. It is entirely built using HTML5 and other Web standards. It is the only operating system that features Adaptive App Search. It basically adapts to what you need at any moment in your life.

Just recently, Mozilla announced its partnership with Cherry Mobile. “We are proud to see the ACE Firefox OS smartphone of Cherry Mobile launched in the Philippines.” said Dr. Li Gong, President of Mozilla. “With support from such a strong partner, Firefox OS will continue growing in Asia. Firefox OS smartphones in the ultra-low-cost category are redefining the entry-level smartphone and as a result more and more people can enjoy the power of the Web at an affordable cost.”

Maynard Ngu, CEO of Cherry Mobile, announced the smartphone and assured that they acknowledge each individual’s preferences: to be dynamic and versatile.

Cherry Mobile’s ACE is the first smartphone built with Firefox OS. The Cherry Mobile ACE is equipped with a 1GHz processor, and expandable memory with capacity up to 16GB. It boasts dual-SIM, Bluetooth and Wi-Fi features for easy connectivity, and users can monitor and control their data usage with other built-in functionality. The phone also supports Firefox OS in several language versions. It comes in black, light blue, light green, light red, yellow, white and orange colors.

To power up the Firefox OS here in the Philippines, Mozilla partnered with EasyTaxi and OLX to enrich the environment and expand the ecosystem of the Firefox OS Community here in our shores.

We can’t wait to test out the Cherry Mobile Ace soon. We will update you as soon as we get our review unit. In the meantime, check out the unboxing video of the Cherry Mobile Ace.

Price of the Cherry Mobile is just PhP1,499 or barely $35.
