Announced late last month through the official company web site and various online social networking profiles, the 98-inch Ultra HD TV from none other than LG is finally available here in the Philippines. It boasts not only 4K screen resolution but also 3D picture, which easily makes it one of the first few things that can truly be considered as part of the next generation of products for the home theater.
The 98-inch Ultra HD TV from LG features a gigantic screen that is said to give “an overwhelming cinematic experience” which will fill your entire line of vision with immersive action. It also aims to raise the viewing bar to the highest level ever by showcasing vivid colors in combination with utmost picture clarity, leaving you with no choice but to simply say, “wow.”
Another highlight of this new TV from LG is the fact that it uses an IPS panel, so you know that viewing angles won’t ever be a problem. It also features 5.2ch 120W Sliding Speakers from Harman Kardon, and runs the once-popular webOS as a full-fledged smart TV operating system. You’re not supposed to do calls and texts with it, though, just to be clear.
Mr. Hoony Bae, VP for LG Philippines Home Entertainment said in a statement, “Our newest offering, the 98-inch Ultra HDTV, totals the fun and entertainment of all our previous TV offerings. It is a milestone in itself, and there is no better season to launch it than this most festive season of Christmas. It is our way of multiplying home entertainment towards unchartered territories – all for our customers’ maximum enjoyment.”
The 98-inch Ultra HD TV was showcased yesterday to members of the media at Abenson’s Ascott in Fort Bonifacio, Taguig City. It is currently on sale at the said location as well as through authorized LG dealers nationwide. And a 105-inch version is also on its way. We will update this story with pricing info as soon as we get them.
