Hip and health conscious filipinos now have more options to not just tell time but to also monitor their health and lifestyle. Last November 28, 5 brands with wearable tech devices were launched at Glorietta 5 Atrium. Cookoo, Jawbone, Cogito, Misfit, and Garmin representatives and brand ambassadors were all present in the said event.

Spearheaded by PowerMac, the event is fashion themed with special emphasis on the current trend of wearable tech devices. More and more companies are developing similar devices, which allow users to monitor their health and lifestyle for self-improvement. The event was also an opportune time for PowerMac to celebrate their 20th year in consumer technology retailing business.

The event was hosted by the dashing Chuckie Dreyfus and his gorgeous wife, Yen Dreyfus. The couple is known to be avid users of Misfit, Cookoo and Cogito watches. It thought that both of them are perfect choices as hosts and ambassadors since they represent the market of all brands mentioned – a health and lifestyle conscious market.

Top billed the the product line up were Cogito and Cookoo watches with Ambassadors Fabio Ide, Vanessa Matsunaga, Suki Salvador, and Rikka Infantado. Prior to their encore, all wearable products of the 5 brands were showcased by models on the runway.

Cookoo Watch 2

Cookoo Watch 2

The successor the highly successful Cookoo Watch. This time, the new connected device does not just notify but also shows a text snippet of the notification. Battery life is one of its best features as it can be up for one year without charging.

Garmin

Garmin VivoSmart

Garmin VivoSmart was the my greatest surprise on the event. It doesn’t just simply monitor your health and lifestyle, it also has an intuitive low-energy consuming display for notification, texts, music, etc. It’s amazing!

Misfit

Misfit Shine

This wearable has been around for quite some time now. It tells time and tracks your lifestyle. Shine is made of aircraft-grade aluminum metal.

Cogito Classic (Steel and Leather)

Cogito Classic

Designed in France by award-winner Xavier Houy, Cogito Classic is truly a piece of art, fashion and technology. It’s the best example of a device that unified lifestyle and technology. The guys at Thinkscape, headed by Hans Fernandez, are instrumental in bringing the complete Cogito line (Pop and Classic) in the Philippines.

All these products are now available at their 22 branches nationwide. Feel free to drop by their stores to see the demo items in action. I’m particularly interested with VivoSmart as I already have a Cogito Pop and Pebble Steel. The latter devices are excellent in telling time and notification without having to charge every dary. VivoSmart, however, is pretty much jacked up with lots of features, which I’m very excited to try.

What about you guys? Among the products we listed above, which one that caught your attention. Let us know your thoughts by commenting below.
