Earlier this month, Torque launched a slew of new smartphones and feature phones. This time, Torque sent a strong message to everyone that they’re not playing catch-up with their competitors. The #headturners phablet series – yes, with a hashtag – features rotating camera thus the names of the phones and tablets: Droidz Swivel, Droidz Pivot, Droidz Rotate and Droidz Axis. The event was held at One Esplanada, Pasay, Metro Manila.
Priced at PhP4,599, Droidz Swivel features rotating 8mp camera that can turn up to 180 degrees. It also has 1.2Ghz quad core processor and 1gb RAM. It has 8GB ROM and 1GB RAM built-in storage. It already runs on Android 4.4 Kitkat, and supports 2 SIMS. It retails for only PhP 4,599.
Droidz Pivot, meanwhile, features the same rotating 8mp camera, 1.2Ghz quad core processor, 1gb RAM and 8gb ROM. The only main difference between Swivel and Pivot is the size of its screen. The former has 4.7-inch qHD IPS screen while the latter has a 5-inch qHD IPS display. This one retails for PhP4,999.
Torque also launched 2 tablets with similar swiveling camera, the Droidz Rotate and Droidz Axis. Droidz Rotate is a 7-inch phablet that runs on KitKat 4.4. It’s powered by a dual-core processor, and complemented by a 1GB RAM. Torque kept mum on its internal memory, but we’re guessing that it has 4gb, with 2gb available storage for applications. The internal memory is upgradable up to 32gb via its microSD slot. Rotate is priced at PhP4,399.
Droidz Axis, on the other hand, is the slightly pricier version of Rotate but with a more “zainy” look and better innards. Axis is powered by a 1.2 Ghz quad-core processor and 1GB RAM. It runs on Android 4.4., and can support 2 SIMS. Yes, just like Rotate, you can make calls on Axis. It also features an 8mp swiveling camera. You can grab one for onlyl PhP5,799.
The Vegas/Casino themed event was also an opportune time for Torque to announce their latest premium brand music video and other smart and feature phones.
