Just today, March 31, MyPhone officially announced the new Rio line – Rio 2 and Rio 2 Lite. Finally, the famed and loved Rio is back with these 2 devices.
Leaked several times prior to the official announcement, the sentiment of people toward the new Rios have been overwhelmingly positive.

Armed with Quad Core 1.3Ghz processor and 1GB RAM, Rio 2 has larger internal memory (8gb vs 4gb last year) and better optics manufactured by Sony. The successor to last year’s Rio has – GET THIS – 5-inch IPS HD Gorilla Glass 3 display. Everything, pretty much, is the same compared to the 1st Rio.
Aesthetics-wise, Rio 2 now has on-screen keys; and hard keys (volume rockers and sleep/wake buttons) located at the right side of the device. Its LED flash is also moved from the right of the 8mp camera to the bottom.
