Announced exactly a month ago, Starmobile Jump Max is made with activity and fun in mind. Armed with 3000 mAh battery at a crazy affordable price point, it could be one of the most sought after device of Starmobile.

Let’s start off with the unboxing. A quick tour of the phone’s retail box confirms both the market and positioning of the smartphone – it’s for active, fun and hip millennials. Its hard cardboard box looks quite unconventional as it’s totally different compared to the other retail boxes of its competitors.

The front box shows the Starmobile logo and the phone’s brand. Meanwhile, hardware and software specifications can be found at the back of box with photos of the phone on top of it.

Now what are the things you can find inside the box? Check out the full video below and let us know your thoughts directly on the comments sections below.

Sliding out the inner box reveals the phone and its contents. Like we always do, let’s put the phone aside for now and focus first our attention to everything the box contains. We’ll have more time to tinker the phone later.

Other than the Jump Max, the box contains a free Flip Cover, phone case, screen protector, travel charger, battery, USB cable, headset, quick start guide and warranty card. You will agree with us that freebies alone already make our purchase really sulit!

Now, let’s turn our attention to the phone.

On the video above, we initially removed the free phone case so you’ll have a clear look at the phone’s design and build. The phone features a 4.5-inch IPS multi-touch capacitive screen with resolution of 480×854 pixels at 217ppi. There is a barely noticeable gap between the screen and the outer screen cover.

Below it are 3 capacitive buttons in the following order: menu, home and back.

On top of the phone are the phone’s earpiece, VGA front facing camera and the light and proximity sensors. Meanwhile, ports are located atop the smartphone – the 3.5mm headphone jack and of course, the Micro USB port. The only thing you can find at the bottom of the phone is the microphone.

There is nothing to see on its left side, while hardware buttons are conveniently located on its right side – you’ve got the volume rockers and the sleep/wake button.

Now, let’s take a look at the back of the phone.

Here’s the Starmobile logo. On top of it is the vertical speakers. And above it is the 5mp Rear Facing Camera with LED flash. Just like its front-facing camera, its rear or main camera is fixed focus.

The user-replaceable battery, SIM and Micro SD card slots may be accessed by pulling off the back cover. There is a small nib on the lower left portion of the back cover to access the said mentioned peripherals.

Now, let me talk about the hardware specs of the phone. It has a Mediatek MT6572 SoC installed, with 1Ghz Dual Core ARM Cortex-A7. It doesn’t pack much power – to be honest- but it should be enough to get you by and get going with your daily communication and productivity grinds.

It isn’t exactly built for playing specs-heavy games like Real Racing 3 and Modern Combat 5, but should be able to play casual platformer and puzzle games for many hours. Thanks to its 3000mAh battery and power efficiency software features of Android 4.4 KitKat.

Now, here are photos of the phone with free phone case and free flip cover on.

That’s it guys – this has been our unboxing of the Starmobile Jump Max. There are plenty of things to test and say about this device. We’ll test this and wait for the consumer review in the coming week.
