We joined the Philippine media delegation to the launch of the Zenfone 2 in Indonesia from April 20 to 22. You can check out our coverage on this link. It was a fun trip. highlighted with the awesome features and things that the new device from ASUS can offer.

One of the featured highlights of the Zenfone 2 is is PixelMaster 2.0 camera. It includes the greatly improved low-light sensitivity mode innate to the Zenfone line. The latter can take photos of subjects in low light up to 4x brighter than competition. Zenfone 2’s camera features also come with slew of enhanced features, which will effeminately delight mobile photographers like Super HDR Mode, which enhances the colors of photos; and other creative modes, which are normally available in third-party applications.

Fortunately, during my trip to Indonesia, I brought another flagship phone with me that I got from Smart, the Samsung Galaxy S6. It’s an excellent phone and it has proven to be one of the best phones that Samsung has ever made. I’d like to share with you some photos I took using both devices, and let me know how you think about them. We’ve also included the EXIF of photos for your appreciation. Uncompressed copies of the photos may be downloaded from this link.

What do you think about the sample photos above? Do you think that Zenfone 2 has everything it takes to directly compete with the Galaxy S6 when it comes to its camera features and specs? We find the Galaxy S6’s camera optimized to perform much better in very good lighting conditions, but not much on low light. The latter is Zenfone 2’s specialty, thus an advantage over the S6.
