You can finally buy the Tegra K1 powered tablet of Xiaomi, Mi Pad. In a press statement provided by Xiaomi, the tablet will be available this May 4, 2015 for only PhP10,999.

The tablet has tons of notable features like its gorgeous looking 7.9″ IPS display at 326PPI, protected with Gorilla Glass 3. Resolution is 2048×1536 in 4:3 aspect ratio. For reference, Mi Pad and iPad Mini Retina has the same resolution, but the former has higher pixel per inch. This means that Mi Pad’s screen technically shows more content details when compared to iPad Mini’s.

But perhaps, what makes Mi Pad really special is its superior gaming-console quality processor – NVIDIA Tegra K1 quad-core 2.2 GHz ARM Cortex-A15 processor. Its GPU is 150% more energy efficient than other mobile GPUs and supports graphics platforms. Also, the device is supported with 2gb LPDDR3 RAM with 16gb internal memory, which you can easily expand or 128gb more thru its memory card slot. This could be a good investment especially if you’re a mobile gamer.

While tablets are really for productivity and gaming, Xiaomi did not shy away from putting great optics on Mi Pad. It has an 8mp BSI f/2.0 rear facing camera, and a 5mp front facing one.
