Last May 8, 2015, Samsung announced Avengers-themed Galaxy S6 cases. During the press meeting held at Manila Peninsula, Samsung officials mentioned that those who will purchase Galaxy S6 at Samsung concept stores will receive a free case with multiple interchangeable character films. Later this month, Samsung will put on their store-shelves more premium Galaxy S6 aimed to delight Avengers and Marvel fanatics.
The free case with interchangeable films features 4 major characters of the highly successful Avengers: Age of Ultron: Thor, Hulk, Captain America and Iron Man.
And as previously mentioned, if you’re up to a more premium case for your Galay S6, you will be able to buy 4 standalone cases made of hard plastic, which protects the back and 4 corners of the device. The cases are exclusively available to Galaxy S6 only (there are no plans to release Avengers-theme cases for Edge).
Samsung also took the time with some members of the media to report the overwhelmingly positive response and sales of Galaxy S6 Edge. While they admit that dual-sim Galaxy S6’s sales are lagging behind compared to its edgy kin, Samsung officials believe that its sales will eventually peak up later this month.
Samsung also took the opportune time with some members of the media to highlight the unique selling proposition of the Galaxy S6. Apart from having the same innards compared to the Galaxy S6 Edge, Galaxy S6 features dual sim capability. We’ve playing with the Galaxy S6 we got from Smart and we can confirm that it does have dual sim capability. Unfortunately though, both SIM trays are locked to Smart so if you wish to have it unlocked for added network flexibility, you may easily and freely do so without tripping Samsung Knox.
Samsung also announced last May 8 that the Blue Topaz version of the Samsung Galaxy S6 will be available exclusively on Smart Communications later this month.
