Today we witnessed local electronics retailer Cherry Mobile do something that we never thought they would: they announced a new smartphone model that was developed based on some careful deliberation, user feedback, and — you’ll never believe it — a little bit of Math.
Cherry Mobile officially unveiled the Flare X as its latest mid-range flagship handset with features that would make you second guess your plans of buying many branded high-end models out on the market today. Here’s what you’ll get with every piece of the Cherry Mobile Flare X:
- 5.5-inch Full HD IPS OGS touchscreen
- 13-megapixel rear BSI Sony IMX215 camera
- 5-megapixel wide-angle front camera
- 1.7GHz Octa Core MT6752 processor
- 3GB RAM
- 16GB internal + up to 64GB microSD
- Corning Gorilla Glass 3
- Wi-Fi n + BT 4.0 + NFC
- HSPA+ data + 4G LTE

Just how much do you think this beast will set you back? Just a hair under 7k, actually (Php 6,999 to be exact). It won’t be out until next month, but we’ll be awful at our jobs if we didn’t tell you that it’s well worth the wait. Well, at least on paper, anyway.
