ASUS has been very successful in fusing lifestyle and technology. If you’ve been following the products they recently launched – Zenfone 2, Zenbook, Transformer Chi, etc. – then you’re likely aware of how they managed to bring both things together. It’s an innovation that most consumer electronic companies struggle to do thus putting ASUS into the spotlight in the industry.
Last July 30, ASUS launched the complete line of their stylish and luxurious ZenPad line – the value tablet Zenpad C 7.0, highly functional Zenpad 7 and the incredible ZenPad S 8.0. All these products are packed with ASUS proprietary technologies such as VisualMaster and PixelMaster, and powered by chipset and parts from industry-leaders such as Intel, Imagination Technologies and ARM.
Their hero models, the ZenPad 7 and the ZenPad C 7.0 are powered by Intel’s latest mobile SoC, the Intel Atom X3 or also known as SoFia. The said series, which was developed in south east Asia was made primarily for entry and value devices in 4G LTE and 3G flavors. ZenPad 7’s CPU is complimented with a 2GB RAM , while the ZenPad C 7.0 has a 1GB RAM. Both products have a Mali-450 GPU.

Meanwhile, the top of the line ZenPad S 8.0 is powered by an Intel Moorefield Quad-Core 2.3Ghz 64bit CPU with 4GB RAM. It’s the same processor that the ZenFone 2 (ZE551ML) has, and it’s amazing! (Check out our review of the ZenFone 2 here.) TL;DR – it’s almost like the ZenFone 2, but in a tablet factor. ASUS Philippines Technical PR, Gabriel Padit, added that the “ZenPad 8 is world’s first tablet that has a 4GB RAM!” I’m not entirely sure how you can still manage to stop playing your favorite games with this tablet.
During the event, ASUS Philippines Country Manager, Mr. George Su, received great remarks from the members of the media when he revealed the prices of the new tablets.
- ZenPad S 8.0: PhP16,995
