Last August 26, ASUS announced a 0db and tweakable GPU, the Strix GTX 950. The new video card boasts cool and quiet operation with industry-first auto-extreme technology with Super Alloy Power II components. Gamers who are currently on the lookout of mid-range graphic cards would definitely be delighted with this new addition to ASUS’ Strix-branded peripherals. The GPU is also perfect to those who are switching from the GTX 650 Series.

Strix GTX 950

Strix GTX 950 features GPU boost clock speeds of up to 1329MhZ in gaming mode and 1355 in OC mode. While in the latter mode, the GPU pushes gaming performance to 11.5% faster. (With these clock speeds, GTX 950 is faster than the R7 370, which only has a registered clock speed of 1040MHz.) But apart from its superior mid-range performance, the new GPU is also most quiet especial when -dB mode is enabled. The technology is brought about by its DirectCU II with patented wing-blade odB fans. The fans aren’t just quiet, but also able to deliver maximum air by 20%.

Purchasers of Strix GTX 950 will get a boat load of freebies to maximize its capabilities and potentials. For starters, those who wish to stream their games via XSplit will be given free 14-day premium-license. This will allow gamers to stream and record their games very easily. Also, it also includes a free 15-day World of Warships premium account with an exclusive invite code for a Diana Cruise ship. Check out the clip below to have an idea about what World of Warships is all about.

Yes, GTX 950 can handle games like World of Warships, and even our favorite games like Shadow of Mordor, GTA V and Far Cry 4. In the review published by TomsHardware.com, Battlefield 4 and GTA V at 1920 x 1080 run with average fps of 47.26 and 90.873 respectively.

The new GPU is also overclocking-friendly. This allows users to boost power and Hz increments to improve gameplay performance using ASUS GPU Tweak or MSI Afterburner.

will soon be available by next month for less than PhP10,000.
