Otterbox has always been synonymous to three words: robust, case and innovation. Its products are undeniably made to withstand a lot of beating. We can definitely attest to this because we’ve used and reviewed their products in the past. The word “case” may be attributed to “Otterbox” because of several reasons: they’ve been around since 1998, and they have been given a plethora of awards for being the ultimate choice of consumers when it comes to gadget protection. Otterbox continuously innovates that’s why they’ve got a building of a facility in Colorado that’s dedicated for research and development.

As a global leader in the gadget protection industry, Otterbox is dedicated to bring in more refreshed designs and innovations. While their products are heavily positioned to the “klutzy, spontaneous, chaotic, graceless individuals who have broken their devices due to their active lifestyle”, Otterbox knew that they’re also talking to the geeks and cheeks who love getting into adventure. Cases don’t need to be bulky; it has to be stylish while remaining its core function of fully protecting device.

Just last August 6, Otterbox launched new designs at their headquarters in Makati City. Aptly named MySymmetry, Symmetry Folio and Strade Series, the new cases for the iPhone 5/5s/6, Galaxy S6, iPad Mini and the iPad Air 2 espouse functional yet stylish designs.

My personal favorite is MySymmetry Series, a slim case with swappable inserts. It’s definitely a case worth getting especially if you’re into labeling your devices, flaunting your favorite brands or always showing the photo of the favorite people in you life. The series features extensive design collection brought about by Otterbox’s collaboration with award-winning designers like Wes Gordon, Fiona Howard and Alon Livne. In the Philippines, Otterbox also collaborated with TeamManila to design swappable insert (see the inserts in the gallery below) and a limited edition shirt, which come bundled when you buy a MySymmetry Special Edition.

Part of the Symmetry Series is its leather-clad variant made in four shares for the iPhone 6. This variant fits perfectly for business professionals. According to Otterbox, it’s handcrafted in genuine leather but retains its shock-absorbing features that fully protects your iPhone 6 in all angles.

Otterbox didn’t leave iPad Mini or Air 2 users because they also launched folio type cases for the said devices. Aptly called Symmetry Series Folio, it features premium material that’s “luxuriant to the touch” and provides ample screen protection from scuffs and scratches because of its micro suede interior. The folio variants also double as a stand as the tablet may be rotated so it can be used horizontally and vertically.

If you’re into an even more functional case but in elegant genuine flavor, Otterbox’s Strada Series could be perfect for you. The cases are engineered to withstand drops, bumps and tumbles yet retaining that sleek, leather-clad look. It also has a cover with magnetic latch, which assures that your phone’s screen is fully protected. A vertical slot may be found at the other side of the cover, which you may use to secure your cards or even cash.
