Who doesn’t love a good sequel? Lenovo Philippines today launched a new budget-friendly smartphone with Android 5.0 Lollipop in an exclusive partnership with the Lazada Philippines online store. One week from now, on September 15th, Lazada will start selling the octa-core Lenovo A7000 Plus smartphone exclusively on its web site with a rather attractive price tag of Php 7,499.

Speaking at the launch event, Lenovo Smartphones Philippines country Lead Dino Romano praised the A7000 Plus for its “great multitasking capabilities and unrivaled features at an affordable price.” He tagged the new model as a worthy successor to the original Lenovo A7000, which had been the first phone ever to feature Dolby ATMOS sound technology.

What is Dolby ATMOS? According to the official press release, it allows for a 360-degree audio experience, and will give users a full an extensive multimedia experience whether they are watching movies or listening to music.

During a brief Q&A session after the end of the launch presentation, Lenovo Smartphones Philippines execs revealed that there are plans to sell the A7000 Plus in brick and mortar stores or traditional retail locations. However, the focus of its sales will be purely online for now through the pages of Lazada Philippines, until it is deemed appropriate to start selling it offline. The execs didn’t specify a date for the offline release.

The Lenovo A7000 Plus — also known in other parts of the world as the K3 Note — will be available in the color black for an introductory price of Php 7,499. You’ll be able to find it online at https://www.lazada.com.ph/lenovo-a7000-plus/ from September 15 onwards.
