Asus recently launched a total of four new notebooks with Intel’s 6th-Gen Core processors and Microsoft’s Windows 10 OS at an exclusive media event held at Valkyrie, BGC, Taguig City, Philippines. Asus now has one notebook for practically every type of user, and the prices aren’t too bad either. Read on to find out the details on the specs and pricing of each of the new Asus notebooks and find out when you can expect to find them in local retail stores.
First up is the Asus ZenBook Pro UX501. It’s today’s flagship ZenBook notebook model, featuring a 15.6-inch VisualMaster multi-touch display with a native resolution of 4K/UHD 3860 x 2160 pixels. That’s some eye-popping eye candy right there. It’s powered by a speedy Intel Core i7-4750HQ processor with 12GB of RAM, and uses an NVIDIA GTX 960M 4GB DDR5 GPU for graphics-related tasks.
The Asus ZenBook Pro UX501’s other features include 256GB of internal SSD storage, a built-in optical drive, Bluetooth 4.0, Wi-Fi n, three USB 3.0 ports, and a 4-cell Li-Ion Polymer battery. It will run the latest version of Windows 10 right out of the box, and costs Php 89,995.
And then there’s also the Asus ZenBook UX305LA, which offers a more portable setup with its 13-inch Full HD screen. It’s powered by an Intel Core i5-5200 processor with 8GB of RAM, and uses an NVIDIA GTX 960M 4G DDR5 graphics card as well.
In terms of storage, the ZenBook UX305LA comes with a 512GB SSD. It also has the other following features: two USB 3.0 ports, one USB 2.0 port, Wi-Fi ac, Bluetooth 4.0, Intel Wi-Di support, and a 6-cell Li-Ion Polymer battery. It’s priced a little less expensive at Php 59,995.
Finally, there are two other notebooks, each belonging to the Asus K series and X series of Windows laptops. There’s the Asus X555B, which boasts a 15-inch Full HD resolution screen, an Intel Core i7-6500 processor, 4GB of RAM, 1TB of storage, and NVIDIA’s NV940 2GB for a GPU. It also comes with an 8x Super Multi with Double Layer drive, Wi-Fi n, Bluetooth 4.0, a single USB 2.0 port, two USB 3.0 ports, and a 2-cell Li-ion Polymer battery. It will arrive with Windows 10 right out of the box and a Php 44,995 price tag.
The other new notebook is the Asus K555LB. It will be available in a variety of different color lids, and uses Asus IceCool technology to address most any user’s palm-rest heating issues. Its main features include a 15-inch 4K QHD screen with 94% sRGB color gamut, Asus SonicMaster audio, and NVIDIA’s GeForce GT940M for graphics. It’s basically a full-fledged multimedia laptop with loads of style. And it’s designed for design tasks, watching movies, and viewing photos on a large screen.
All of the above mentioned notebooks will be sold with a 2-year global warranty from Asus worth Php 2,500. This only applies to certain Asus notebooks pre-loaded with Microsoft Windows 10.
