Earlier today, Lenovo Mobile Philippines took to Solaire Resort and Casino in Parañaque City, Philippines to unveil not one, not two, but three new Android phones, all falling under their world-famous Vibe series. The new phones are equipped with outstanding cameras and long-lasting battery life, supposedly enough to make you consider getting any one of the three of them for the upcoming Christmas season.
The first handset announced, the star of the local launch show, is called the Lenovo Vibe S1. It’s billed as the first smartphone in the Philippines with a dual-selfie camera setup. As in, it has two separate cameras on the front, both designed for taking the best selfies possible with what lighting is available.
The Lenovo Vibe S1’s main features include a 5-inch Full HD IPS touchscreen display, a 1.7GHz octa-core processor, 3GB RAM, 32GB storage, 4G LTE connectivity, and a 2420mAh battery.
If you’re wondering whether or not the Lenovo Vibe S1 still has a rear camera in addition to its two front cams, yes it does. The camera on the back of the Vibe S1 uses a 13-megapixel phase-sensing BSI sensor, and it has its own dual-tone color LED flash.
The second new phone announced by Lenovo Mobile Philippines today is the Lenovo Vibe P1. It’s a bigger phone with a bigger display, but it’s going to be sold at a similar price point to the Vibe S1.
The Lenovo Vibe P1 is basically a flagship Android phone from Lenovo targeting the high mid-range category. It has a 5.5-inch Full HD display, fingerprint security baked right into the home button, a 64-bit Snapdragon CPU, 2GB RAM, and 32GB storage.
The Vibe P1 also boasts a 5000mAh battery. And it can double as a power bank with its OTG charging feature, which you can use to charge your micro USB accessories like Bluetooth headsets.
The Lenovo Vibe P1m is a slightly less expensive variation of the phone just mentioned above. It instead relies on a smaller 5-inch HD screen and a lower capacity 4000mAh battery — which is still quite good, of course. The Vibe P1m uses a quad-core MediaTek processor, has 2GB RAM, 16GB storage, and microSD card support up to 128GB. As an added bonus, it also supports quick charging, and offers the same OTG charging feature found in the Lenovo Vibe P1.
All three Lenovo Vibe series phones announced today will be released in stores at around the end of November, which is about 2-3 weeks from now. The Lenovo Vibe S1 is priced Php 15,999, the Lenovo Vibe P1 is priced Php 14,999, and the Lenovo Vibe P1m is priced Php 7,999.
