Life ends, so we need to make the best out of it. Our mobile phone’s battery usually doesn’t last a day, so we need to always bring a power bank. Hell, my iPhone 6s’ battery life doesn’t even last a day, and I’m pretty sure that most of you can relate to this unforgivable reality.
A couple of days ago, ASUS launched the Zenfone Max in the market. ASUS promises its consumers – I, for one – that their latest phone can last more than a day with 1 full charge, and boy was I surprised. During my trip to Cebu over the weekend, the phone’s battery only dropped 11% of its juice from Friday to Sunday at moderate usage. I must admit though, the ASUS Zenfone Max isn’t exactly the most powerful Zenfone available in the market today but it does something that (probably) more than 70% of the Android smartphones cannot do – i.e, to stay up and running for more than 2 days with 1 full charge. Wait, I think I already said that.
Yes, it isn’t the fastest Zenfone that ASUS recently launched. In fact, it is only powered by a 64-bit Snapdragon 410. For your reference, its processor is similar to the ones installed onthe 3rd Gen Moto G and 2nd Gen Moto E. You can check out the latter links for our full review and features. It is complemented by a 2GB RAM, which is currently the industry-preferred RAM configuration and 8gb internal memory.
While most of us prefer to not see preinstalled ASUS applications on the Zenfone Max, it is virtually impossible to be implemented on Zenfone Max because some apps supposedly enhance the overall experience. If you’re a solid ZenFone fan, I’m pretty sure that you can definitely relate to what you just read.
Its 5.5-inch IPS capacitive touchscreen look amazing! If you’re a casual gamer or you’re usually binge watching TV-series via iFlix or Netflxi, Zenfone Max can definitely bring you a satisfying experience. More so, ASUS also combined the technological magnanimity of Zenfone Laser’s cameras and laser, and long battery life on this latest device. These facets are probably the reasons why ASUS is very confident to promise that you can “see more with full charge” using this device.
Let’s talk more about its battery. The Zenfone Max’s 5000mAh lithium-polymer battery is incredibly long lasting. Based on Asus, it has a standby more of 38 days or 37.5 hours of 3G talk time, or 32.5 hours of Wi-Fi browsing, or 22.6 hours video playback. Yes, that’s more than 45 episodes of a TV series.
Here’s what makes things extra interesting: Zenfone Max’s battery is a full 5000mAh battery. What do I mean by this? Usually, any battery that’s beyond 3000mAh is actually two batteries cobbled together. This isn’t the case on Max’s battery as it’s simply a single cell custom crafted massive non-removable battery.
