World’s First Display 165Hz refresh rate, ROG Swift PG279Q, now available in the Philippines

ASUS just released a new monitor that blew me away. I’ve been using a 2 VC239 IPS ASUS monitors and I love them. When ASUS announced the 27-inch ROG Swift PG279Q, it instantly got me hooked because I know how awesome it would look between my 2 VC239s. For me, there’s a caveat though – it costs almost the same as my ASUS ROG GL552JX laptop.

The new ROG Swift PG279Q features an ASUS-exclusive GamePlus Hotkey for in-game enhancements, and GameVisual technology with six preset display modes for optimized visuals. The currently available IPS displays of ASUS have something quite similar, but nothing like the PG279Q has.

ASUS ROG Swift PG279Q_Left (1)It also has a 2K/WQHD resolution panel and covers full sRGB color gamut. Whether your playing a game or editing videos, this is something that could definitely pique your interest.

If you’re into playing fast-paced games like Counterstrike, Call of Duty: Black Ops 3 or the upcoming The Division, this new monitor can help you win and frag your friends out because it can reduce lag and motion blur by being able to tweak its refresh rate. Users have the options of choosing 60Hz, 120Hz, 144Hz or 165Hz (if you’re using GeForce GTX 960 or higher.
