David S. Goyer, the screenwriter and producer behind The Dark Knight Trilogy, Blade Trilogy and Man of Steel, is working with ILMxLab to make a movie about Darth Vader. The movie will be available for free via Steam on July 18.
According to Goyer, “Darth Vader is the perfect ambassador to usher us into the Star Wars VR universe.” Based on the trailer released during SWCE, it seems that the experience puts you back to Tatooine and play as a Jedi. The teaser confirmed that you’ll be playing as Anakin based on the color of the lightsaber handed over by R2D2 to the character.
The movie project, entitled Trials on Tattoine, may be viewed using the latest VR devices such as Oculus Rift or the HTC Vive starting tomorrow, July 18. Both devices are not yet officially available in the Philippines. Anyone interested to buy an HTC Vive may want to get it at HTC in Taiwan as it’s more affordable.
