ASUS Launches Zenbook 3, Transformer 3 and Transformer 3 Pro: Prices and Availability

ASUS Philippines has launched its newest Zenbook and Transformer Notebooks in today’s Zenvolution event held at the Sofitel Philippine Plaza in Manila.

Zenbook 3: The World’s Most Prestigious Laptop with Unprecedented Performance

Being the next generation Zenbook, the Zenbook 3 is a gorgeous looking device at 11.9mm thick and weighs a mere 910 grams. The design involves the use of aerospace-grade aluminum alloy, which is 50% stronger than the standard alloy used in other laptops. This paved the way to achieving a design that encompasses amazing lightness without compromising strength.

In terms of performance, the Zenbook 3 is sure to deliver with its Intel Core i7 processor, 16GB of high-speed 2133MHz RAM, and a PCIe 3.0 x4 Ultra-Fast SSD of up to 1TB capacity, and a next-gen USB Type-C (USB-C) port. The Zenbook 3 has a 12.5-inch display protected by Gorilla Glass 4. In terms of audio, it uses a powerful quad-speaker system by Harman Kardon for excellent sound quality.

The Zenbook 3 uses a full-size backlit keyboard with a 19.8mm key pitch, which is similar to most desktop counterparts, while the glass covered touchpad allows for accurate input. It also has a fingerprint sensor for unlocking the the device without having to type in a password. In terms of battery life, the Zenbook 3 can last up to 9 hours on a single charge. To top it off, it also has fast charge technology which can replenish 60% of its battery capacity in just 49 minutes.

ASUS Transformer 3 Pro: The World’s Most Versatile PC

The Transformer 3 Pro is a combination of unrivaled performance and portability. At only 8.35mm thin and sporting diamond cut detailing. This device is simply elegant and beautiful at the same time. It comes in Icicle Gold and Glacier Gray color options.

The Transformer 3 Pro has an integrated metal kickstand that lets the user set the device’s viewing angle to 170° at most. There is also a backlit cover keyboard included for a comfortable typing experience and is available in different colors – Stone, Charcoal, Taupe and Amber.

The Transformer 3 Pro has a 12.6-inch display with 2880 by 1920 resolution at 275ppi pixel density. This ensures that images come out detailed with vibrant colors. The sound department is taken care of thanks to powerful speakers by Harman Kardon, to ensure an incredible listening experience.

The Transformer 3 Pro is powered by an Intel Core i5 processor, 8GB of high-speed 2133MHz RAM, and a PCIe x4 ultra-fast SSD of up to 1TB capacity for the ultimate performance. Its versatile, reversible USB Type-C connector supports USB 3.1 Gen 2 devices at speeds up to 10Gbps. Thunderbolt™ 3 allows for incredibly fast 40Gbps data transfers and has support for dual external 4K UHD displays. The Transformer 3 Pro also comes with USB 3.0 and HDMI ports for connectivity. A 13MP rear camera has also been incorporated to allow capture of high-resolution photos and videos, as well as a front-facing camera with Windows Hello facial recognition  to enable users to log in with just a quick glance.

ASUS Transformer 3: The Mobile PC, Redefined

The ASUS Transformer 3 is a combination of ultimate mobility, convenience, and expandability. It is crafted from aluminum, weighs 695g and only 6.9mm thin, it carries the same design language as its Pro counterpart. Equipped with the detachable Transformer Sleeve Keyboard and two-position display stand, the Transformer 3 provides comfortable typing and smooth, accurate input for the best experience. It is also available in Icicle Gold and Glacier Gray color options.

Like the Pro, the Transformer 3 also has a 12.6-inch display with 2880 by 1920 resolution at 275ppi pixel density. It also has the Tru2Life technology which optimizes every pixel in each frame before it is displayed, to ensure superior contrast and clarity. The sound department is also taken care of by Harman Kardon’s quad-speaker audio system. The Transformer 3 automatically adjusts the routing of low and high audio frequencies to the correct speakers depending on the orientation of the device, for optimum audio quality

The Transformer 3 is powered by 7th-generation Intel Core processors with an SSD of up to 512GB capacity and up to 8GB RAM to deliver fast performance for work and play. It also has a reversible USB Type-C connector supports USB 3.1 Gen 2 devices at speeds up to 10Gbps. Thunderbolt 3 allows for unbelievably fast 40Gbps data transfers and support for dual external 4K UHD displays. It also has a fingerprint reader and a 13MP camera for capturing high-resolution photos and videos.

Similar to the Pro variant, the Transformer 3 is also compatible with the ASUS Pen, ASUS Universal Dock, ASUS Audio Pod, and ROG XG Station 2 for expanding its capabilities.
