Sony has just announced the newest additions to the Playstation Family. The PS4 Pro and a new Slimmer and lighter version of the PS4.

The new Slimmer and lighter PS4 aims to bring the same console experience that gamers have loved through the years, in a more compact package, with 28% improved power consumption as well.

The PS4 Pro takes console gaming to the next level as it hosts a 1 TB Hard Drive, improved CPU, a GPU with twice as much power, as well as 4k resolution and HDR to the table. In fact, some companies have already started to develop patches for their current lineup of games to make them ready for the PS4 Pro. Titles include Marvel’s Spiderman, Ubisoft’s For Honor, FIFA 17, Battlefield 1, and Mass Effect: Andromeda. For those who love to watch movies, Netflix and Youtube are also prepping up apps with PS4 pro compatibility.

No worry for those who don’t have a 4k Resolution TV yet. Games played on these devices will still run in 1080 Full HD, with stable or even higher framerates. Other new features include faster Wi-Fi (802.11 a/b/g/n/ac), and a third USB 3.1 Gen.1 port at the back of the unit.

The PS4 Slim is priced at $299.99 (Roughly PhP14,000), while the PS4 Pro is priced at $399.99 (Around PhP19,000). Of course, these don’t count taxes etc, so local prices may vary. In terms of availability, the Slim is already shipping to retailers and will be available on Sept. 15,2016 in the US while the Pro version will be available in the US on November 10, 2016.
