ESGS 2016 (E-sports and Gaming Summit 2016) is fast approaching, and as the hype and excitement mounts, here’s a taste of what you can expect during the event.
The 3-day event will showcase everything in the gaming world from PC, Console, and Mobile games from the top game publishers as well independent game devs, to various exciting E-sports tournaments featuring professional players, and a much anticipated cosplay competition with cool prizes.
Some of the biggest names in gaming will be present during the event. Bandai Namco Entertainment will be hosting the very first Tekken 7 Philippine Qualifiers, wherein players will be battling it out for a spot in the King of the Iron Fist Tournament 2016. Sony PlayStation, Capcom, and Ubisoft will also be present to showcase their new and upcoming titles for you to try out! Super Evil Megacorp, creator of mobile game, Vainglory, will also be holding a tournament of their own. On top of that, MSI will also be holding a rig modders competition, wherein you’ll be able to see some of the best PC rig mods created by the community.
Some popular personalities will also be attending the event. Koji Igarashi, who is known for being the assistant director for Castlevania: Symphony of the Night and producer for the Castlevania games that followed from Castlevania Chronicles up to Castlevania: Harmony of Despair, will be present to showcase an upcoming project called Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night.
Looking for a Brawl Fest? look no further as the biggest fighting game communities will also be holding tournaments for Street Fighter V, Mortal Kombat XL, Super Smash Bros., The King of Fighters XIV, Gundam Extreme Vs. Full Boost and more.
A special section will also be hosted by the  The Game Developers Association of the Philippines (GDAP) and Department of Information and Communications Technology (DICT) which will focus on academic and business opportunities in gaming and IT.

ESGS will be held at Function Halls 1-3 of the SMX Convention Center on October 28 to 30, 2016 and is organized by Gariath Concept, and presented by PLDT Home Fibr, MSI, HyperX and Monster Energy.
