Earlier today, Huawei officially launched their newest smartphones, the flagship Mate 9 with Dual Leica Cameras, and the most affordable smartphone with a dual camera setup, the GR5 2017.
Huawei Mate 9
The Mate 9 is the company’s most powerful business phone yet, and offers significant improvements to from its predecessor.
In terms of the overall look and build quality, the Mate 9 is as premium as it could get for a flagship level device. Glass front, metal back, and a gorgeous looking 5.9-inch Full HD display. It resembles a puzzle wherein each piece fits perfectly, and is made with utmost precision and attention to detail.
The improvements don’t stop there. This phone is a beast in the specsheet too. The Kirin 960 SoC is the first to use a 4-Cortex A73/4-Cortex A53 CPU setup, and is coupled with an i6 co-processor, the Mali G71 GPU, and 4GB of RAM, delivering unparalleled performance compared to its rivals.
But what good is a powerful device if it runs out of breath before the day even ends? So the Mate 9 has been equipped with a potent 4000mAh high-density battery for 40% more call time, 20% more gaming time, and an advanced power-saving technology which allows it to yield two days of uptime. Furthermore, Huawei’s SuperCharge technology gives the Mate 9 enough juice to last a day, from a 20-minute charging period.
The Mate 9 runs on Huawei’s Emotion UI 5.0, and also features Machine Learning Algorithm, which enables the device to understand and intelligently adapt to the user’s usage behavior.
The dual lens technology co-engineered with Leica also returns here, but now includes a combination of an improved 12MP F/2.2 RGB sensor which captures true-to-life colors, a 20MP f/2.2 monochrome sensor which captures details and depth, enhanced fusion algorithms, and a 4-1 auto-focus system which uses laser focus, phase detection focus, depth focus, and contrast focus, to produce stunning shots.
