Google has unveiled the list of participants for the fourth class of its launchpad accelerator program, which will start on July 17, 2017.
For this class, startups from Asia and Latin America will be joined by their peers in Europe and Africa. Google has also announced that apart from expanding its reach, they’ll be integrating machine learning and AI into the curriculum to help these startups take advantage of the company’s latest technologies to scale their apps.
The Launchpad Accelerator program aims to empower startups by providing training and mentoring sessions from experts. This includes 20+ Google teams and other personalities from the top technology companies and VCs in Silicon Valley. During the 6-month program, participants are given equity-free support, credits for Google’s products, and they get to work closely with Google in their home country.
Class 4 will begin at the Google Developers Launchpad Space in San Francisco and will include 2 weeks of all-expense-paid training.
Participants include two startups from the Philippines, namely: BLOOM, which focuses on remittance business, and Honesty Apps, a DIY mobile application available for Android and iOS.
