Huawei has just announced two new smartphones aimed at the upper mid-range segment, the Nova 2 and Nova 2 Plus.
Both models sport the familiar design language from its flagship P series with glass-metal construction, the only difference is in the screen size: 5-inches for the Nova 2, and 5.5-inches for the Plus. Both make use of LTPS LCD displays at Full HD resolution covered with 2.5D curved glass.
Despite sporting a thickness of just 6.9mm, Huawei still managed to put in decent batteries: 2,950mAh for the Nova 2, and 3,340mAh for the Nova 2 Plus. Both devices are powered by the Kirin 659 CPU and 4GB of RAM. There’s also 64GB of internal storage for the smaller variant, and 128GB for the latter.
Both the Nova 2 and Nova 2 Plus are fitted with a dual rear camera setup which consists of a 12MP sensor, behind an f/1.8 lens, and an 8MP sensor dedicated for optical zoom and portrait mode. What’s even more interesting is they actually put in a 20MP selfie camera.
