Samsung has just made a point today: Tizen is still pretty much alive. The evidence? the launch of the Samsung Z4.
With a compact form factor, the Z4 sports a 4.5-inch WVGA display with a resolution of 480 x 800 pixels covered by 2.5D glass, and is powered by a 1.5GHz Quad-Core CPU along with 1GB of RAM. In terms of imaging, the device has 5MP front and rear cameras which are touted to be optimized for social media.
The Z4 runs on Tizen 3.0 and has a 2,050mAh battery under the hood. Other features include Dual SIM capability, 4G, and support for Band 40 which is used by a number of networks in India.
There’s still no information with regards to pricing, but the Z4 is expected to be available in India first, with other markets to follow.
