In a big reveal at SM North EDSA Annex last May 19, Vivo Philippines lifted the curtain on the newest member of its camera focused smartphone lineup, the Vivo V5s.
The V5s is the company’s newest perfect selfie phone which sports a 20MP front camera with f/2.0 aperture for detailed and vibrant looking selfies. The 13MP rear camera with f/2.2 aperture takes good looking stills and features an ultra-high-definition mode that renders images of up to 52MP.
It also hosts the group selfie feature which lets the user take a groufie by panning the device left and right, ensuring that everyone is included in the shot.
The event was graced by the presence of Tony Labrusca, Mccoy de Leon, Boyband PH, blogger Verniece Enciso, host Nikko Ramos, and Vivo’s brand director Annie Lim. They even took a selfie with the crowd, as proof of the new technology’s efficiency.
The V5s has a selfie soft light which gives ample illumination to your selfies in low-light, and an enhanced night mode. There’s also the signature beauty mode 6.0, which serves as a skincare tool that detects your gender and intelligently applies beauty touches.
It’s 5G capable, runs on 4GB of RAM, and has 64GB of internal storage which can be expanded using a MicroSD card.
Other features include App Clone, which lets the user sign in to two different social media accounts with one app (For the meantime, this feature supports popular chat apps such as WhatsApp, WeChat, Line, BBM, Zalo, and Viber), smart split 2.0 which allows for doing 2 tasks on the screen at the same time, and an eye protection mode which makes the screen light look softer.
The V5s sports the familiar elegant design of the V5 series with its slimmer bezels and a 5.5-inch HD display covered with 2.5D Gorilla Glass. Details have also been improved, as the U-Shaped cover lines make the rear look even more premium.
