The latest version of Apple’s mobile operating system brings a ton of enhancements and new features from aesthetics to function. Let’s take a look:
For iPad
The new “Files” app makes it easier for you to browse, search, and organize your files in one place. It even lets you manage those that are in remote file storage services such as iCloud and Google Drive.
The new dock can now be opened from any screen and can be customized with your favorite apps. It also intelligently suggests apps based on what you’ve recently used, and displays the corresponding icons on the right side.
Multitasking in iOS 11 is so much more efficient and intuitive. You can now open a second app right from the dock, and both apps will remain active in Slide Over or Split View. You can also drag the second app in Slide Over to the left, and get back to your favorit App spaces using the redesigned App Switcher.
Drag and Drop for iPad lets you move text, photos, and files seamlessly from one app to another.
Letters and symbols are now all on the same keyboard. All you have to do is flick down on a key.
Apple Pencil is now more versatile, powerful, and natural than ever.
- Scribble over a PDF file or a screenshot by simply tapping the screen with the Apple Pencil.
- Write a quick note by tapping the Apple Pencil on the lockscreen.
- Add inline drawings in notes and mail. Handrwitten notes are now also searchable.
- The new Document Scanner automatically in the Notes app takes out any tilt or glare.
Augmented Reality
iOS 11 introduces ARKit, a new framework that brings Augmented Reality into millions of iOS devices by letting developers create unmatched AR experiences. By mixing and matching digital information and objects along with the environment, AR allows you to interact with the real world creatively new ways.

Siri has a new voice with a more natural tone, and can now voice out translations of several languages.
Apple Music knows what you like based on your usage, so when you ask Siri to play a song, chances are you’ll hear one that you love. It can also answer music trivia questions. It also lets you see your friends’ playlists, as well as albums and stations they listen to often
AirPlay 2 lets you control your home audio system and speakers installed throughout your house.
A redesigned Control Center.
The lock screen now displays your recent and missed notifications. All you need to do is pull it down like a cover sheet from the top of the screen.
