Curved monitors may have been in the market for a couple of years already but it is only recently that prices have become more affordable. Why should you buy one now?
Whether you are a creative professional, a chronic gamer, or just a regular computer user who does have a high demand on the performance of your desktop computer, you would still appreciate the curved display when you open a simple document, such as a wide spreadsheet or PDF file for a big data.
Why? Suddenly, there’s so much less scrolling to do and in the process, losing track of the lines, columns and pages! A curved monitor provides a way pleasant yet subtle immersion effect, focusing on you at the center of your desk. Working on these large files is so much easier when you have an expansive field of view.
By the end of the day, when you are done with work and just need a little enjoyment, your curved monitor is ready to go on double duty as an entertainment unit, rendering photos in vibrant colors or playing movies with a cinematic feel with full-screen view.
The curvature of the monitor makes you feel as though you are subtly wrapped around the action that is being played on screen, be it a real-time strategy game or a Hollywood blockbuster. Need we say more why the curved monitor is such a darling to home office workers? Don’t believe us, though, when we say that curved monitors are the next best thing after virtual reality (VR). Try it and be your own judge.
The Curvature of Curved Monitors
By the end of the day, when you are done with work and just need a little enjoyment, your curved monitor is ready to go on double duty as an entertainment unit, rendering photos in vibrant colors or playing movies with a cinematic feel with full-screen view.
The curvature of the monitor makes you feel as though you are subtly wrapped around the action that is being played on screen, be it a real-time strategy game or a Hollywood blockbuster. The number factor of a curved monitor, 1800R vs. 3000R
If you are new to curved monitors, you may not be aware that curved monitors are not all the same, as in, there are differences in the degree of curvature. At first glance, these figures may be intimidating but they won’t be difficult to understand.
“R” actually stands for “Radius” and the number indicate the radius in millimeters if the monitor were to form a circle. The lower the number, the higher curvature is delivered by the monitor, providing an enhanced curvature experience.
For example, the reading of 3000R would mean a curvature radius of 3,000 mm circle, or the distance your eyes should be from the screen. A curved monitor with 3000R would offer a more immersive cinematic experience.
After weighing all the above factors, it is time to check your budget. Which of the above factor is the most important to you and justifies your investment? Whatever you decide, now is the time to jump from a flat one to be surrounded. Trust us, once you have gone curved, you will never go flat again.
