Gadget brand, Ekotek, just pulled off a grand announcement earlier at Satchmi music store and cafe, by introducing its hero lifestyle brand, Ekonic. The latter brand houses all gadgets positioned for collectors of iconic comic characters.
Edric Chua, Founder and Managing Director of FrontierGadget Inc. – the company behind Ekotek, announced the product line-up of Ekonic. With close collaboration with industry partners like Warner Bros Consumer Products on behalf of DC Entertainment and Smart Communications, Ekonic just made a dent on the local gadget and phone industry by launching DC Comics Justice league-themed devices like headphones, powerbanks, Bluetooth speaker and a limited edition smartphone.
Aptly named Justice League Smartphone, it is the world’s first limited edition DC Comics Justice League-themed Android device. Chua added that only 5,000 units will be sold in the country starting August 2017.
It comes with accessories, which bear the iconic (pun intended) signature look of the founding members of Justice League: Scarlet Speedsters earphones, Lasso of Truth cable charger and 4 interchangeable cases with artwork made by world-renowned comic book artists Jim Lee, Jason Fabok, Francis Manapul and Ivan Reis. Its retail box will bring delight to collectors as it comes with Certificate of Authenticity (bearing unique number of unit out of 5,000) and limited edition stickers.

Starting August 2017, the Ekonic Justice League Smartphone will be available via Smart. To own one, simply add PhP400 to any Postpaid plan. For instance, if a subcriber is on Plan 399, he will just have to pay additional PhP400 in order to avail the limited edition smartphone. To maximize the smartphone’s features, it is recommended to bundle this up with Smart Postpaid Plan 599, which comes with 5GB data, 30 minutes all-net calls, unlimited all-net texts and free use of Facebook Messenger, Whatsapp and Viber.
