Secure and Connected

Both the Portégé X30 and Tecra X40 feature multiple layers of security inside and out. It has a new Touchpad with a built-in fingerprint sensor in addition to an optional IR camera which allows for facial authentication using Intel Authenticate and Windows Hello. The Portégé X30 and Tecra X40 are fitted with exceptionally fast PCIe solid state drives as well as DDR4 memory, which provides support for broadband speeds that are up to 33% faster than its DDR3L predecessor. Both notebooks also follow in the footsteps of the Portégé X20W-D through a premium audio experience courtesy of harman/kardon stereo speakers and DTS Sound software.

Both also come with Advanced connectivity features which includes compatibility with a wide range of dongles for different scenarios. The laptops are also designed for use with a new optional Thunderbolt 3 dock which enables data transfers, provides power, a display port, and a range of other modern ports including two USB-Type C ports, a full-size USB 3.0 port, an HDMI port, and even a microSD card slot.
