Last August 3, Acer launched its newest campaign and its first transnational annual brand day event “Acer Day” to bring new energy to the brand.
The event kicked off in 14 countries including China, Hong Kong, India, Indonesia, Japan, Korea, Malaysia, the Philippines, Singapore, Taiwan, Thailand, Australia, New Zealand and Vietnam. According to Andrew Hou, President of Acer Pan Pacific Region, the start date was derived from “eight-third” (August 3), which sounds like Acer. As such every 3rd of August for the coming years will be named as Acer Day, where new and exciting activities will be held for customers.
For this year, the theme was centered on Acer’s AeroBlade 3D Fan and was named “Be Cool Everyday.” The AeroBlade Technology makes use of the world’s thinnest metal fan blade for advanced aerodynamics and airflow performance, allowing the sytem to run at maximum performance at low temperatures.
An “Acer Day” event website was launched last July 21. Using their social media accounts, users were able to log in and participate in 11 daily challenges which include memory puzzles, friend sharing games, and other fun challenges. In return, they were given “Cool Points” which can then be exchanged for raffle tickets.
Raffle prizes included the Swift Series and Predator laptops among other surprises. There were also treats and exclusive deals made available on Acer Day.
