ASUS showcased its latest gaming laptops and components at IFA 2017 in Berlin. And while most of the products such as the ROG Zephyrus and the PG27VQ gaming monitor have already been unveiled at earlier occasions, there were a couple of yet unannounced products that were present. One of them is the ROG Chimera Gaming Laptop.
The ROG Chimera is the world’s first gaming laptop to sport a 17.3-inch Full HD display with a 7ms response time, and 144Hz refresh rate. Top that off with NVIDIA’s G-Sync technology and a GTX 1080 GPU, and you’re ensured of stunning visuals with no lag, tearing, or stutters, giving you that competitive edge on certain genres of games.
The laptop harnesses the power of a 7th Generation Intel Core i7 7820HK processor clocked at 2.9GHz with a max turbo speed of 3.9GHz. It also supports up to 64GB of 2400MHz DDR4 RAM.
If you happen to own an Xbox One controller, it’s your lucky day. Because the ROG Chimera also supports Xbox Wireless. That means you can connect up to 8 of those controllers simultaneously using Microsoft’s proprietary 2.4GHz wireless connection. No need for dongles, no need for Bluetooth.
Pricing and availability are still to be confirmed.
