LG has just unveiled the newest member of its V lineup of smartphones designed for media consumption. Introducing the new LG V30.

The V30 sports a huge 6-inch QuadHD+ FullVision Display with an 18:9 aspect ratio for a more cinematic viewing experience. Like the G6, it also gets rid of unnecessary bumps and protrusions, making way for a more symmetrical and smooth design language.

It also features an always-on display which provides shortcuts to commonly used tools, as well as the music player when the screen is off. There’s also a floating bar, which can be populated with 5 frequently used apps for easier and faster access.

LG’s newest powerhouse is driven by none other than the Snapdragon 835 processor with 4GB of LPDDR4 RAM, and up to 128GB of internal storage. It runs on Android Nougat out of the box, is Daydream ready, and packs a 3300mAh battery.

For imaging, the V30 sports a 16MP + 13MP dual rear camera system. It’s also the first smartphone to have a rear camera that has an aperture of f/1.6 for superior low light performance. The 5MP front camera is also by no means a slouch, as it features a 90° wide-angle lens for including more people in your shots.

Love listening to music? then the V30 might just be the device for you, as it features a 32-bit Quad Hi-Fi DAC which should pair well with the included B&O Play headphones. It also supports Master Quality Authenticated Technology, which paves the way for streaming high-resolution audio.

Other notable features include IP68 certification for water and dust resistance, MIL-STD 810G compliance, wireless charging, face recognition, and NFC.
