We have received an invite to an Acer event this Monday, September 11, for the launch of a yet unknown product. But rumor has it that it’s their new lineup of Ryzen-Based gaming desktops, the GX series.

Here’s one of them, the GX-281-UR17:

  • Operating System: Windows 10 Home
  • Processor:  3.2GHz AMD Ryzen 5 1400 Quad-Core
  • Memory: 8GB DDR4 (Up to 64GB Max)
  • Storage: 1TB Hard Drive
  • Graphics: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1050 with up to 2GB of dedicated graphics memory
  • Connectivity: 802.11ac Wireless LAN, Dedicated LAN Port
  • Ports and Connectivity: 4 x USB 2.0, 2 x USB 3.1 Gen 1 Type-C
  • Power Supply: 500w
  • Dimensions: 6.89″ x 18.24″ x 15.67″

The price of this particular model is around $800, but of course, local pricing may vary due to taxes, etc.

We might also see other variants of this product with a Ryzen 7 1700/1700X processor and a GTX 1050Ti/1060/1070 or even an AMD RX480 GPU.

So what do you think? are these pre-made desktops worth the money? We’ll have to see and test them out come Monday, so stay tuned!
