ASUS Philippines started its partnership with Operation Smile at the launch of the ZenFone 4 Series last August. Titled #4theSmile, it aims to bring smiles to Filipinos who have cleft lips and palates by using selfies and wefies as donations.

For each selfie or wefie posted on social media with the hashtag #4theSmile, a peso will be donated to support the organization’s medical missions. ASUS Philippines concentrated all its efforts to reach the goal of 1.3 million selfies and wefies for providing the sufficient aid for the said activity.

The brand certainly did everything that can be done – from finding influencers, sharing the campaign with students, employees, and promoter programs, which involve in-store events for asking the help of those who are willing to donate to the cause. While still a distance from the target, ASUS Philippines remains true to the mission of giving smiles especially for the upcoming holiday season – starting with 218 patients in the City of Iloilo, the biggest and most critical misison of Operation Smile in the past 5 years.

The medical mission was held in QualiMed hospital in Manduriao in which the ASUS PH team joined forces with members of the media for 2 days of volunteer work to assist the organization in just about every way possible for changing the lives of the patients.

Christine Lu, Director of Programs, happily received the donation of PhP700,000 in behalf of Operation Smile Philippines.

But ASUS Philippines isn’t stopping here, as everyone is still invited to participate in the #4theSmile campaign in order to raise 1.3M selfies and wefies until January, 2018.
