It’s another achievement unlocked for the folks at AMD as their enthusiast level processor, the Ryzen Threadripper 1950X was recently given the CES 2018 Best of Innovation award for the Computer Hardware and Components Category.

The decision was made by a panel of judges composed of independent industrial designers, engineers, and members of the trade media to give recognition for products that showcase outstanding design and engineering in consumer electronics across 28 categories.

The Ryzen Threadripper 1950X processor supports 16 cores and 32 threads, catering to the needs of developers, prosumers, creators and enthusiasts. It’s built around AMD’s “Zen” architecture, and delivers unprecedented processing power, unrestrained potential, and superior performance for the most demanding tasks and workloads.

The overwhelmingly positive response from enthusiasts and expert reviewers that greeted the release of AMD Ryzen Threadripper already served as a huge reward for the AMD whole engineering team who built this ground-breaking product. The CES Innovation Awards are sponsored by the Consumer Technology Association (CTA), the owner and producer of CES 2018, a global convention of consumer technologies, and have been recognizing achievements in product design and engineering since 1976.

The AMD Ryzen Threadripper 1950X will be showcased at CES 2018, which will run from January 9 to 12, 2018 in Las Vegas, Nevada.
