In its continuing pursuit of offering its customers top quality products, Vivo and Qualcomm recently signed a 4 billion USD memorandum of understanding.

The said deal aims to strengthen the technical partnership and patent sharing between the two brands, and to help Vivo in its goal of providing more innovative technologies in mobile photography, gaming, power efficiency, and many more.

Vivo is currently working with Qualcomm for research and development for the biometrics segment, such as the Under Display Fingerprint Scanning feature showcased at this year’s Mobile World Congress, 3D facial identification, palm prints, fingerprints, iris scanning, and other biometric technologies for improving ease of use and security.

The brand is also showing strong interest in accelerating the formulation of 5G standards. It will also share its market expertise with Qualcomm with a goal of providing customers with an even better experience with its products.

Vivo will soon be entering new global markets, such as Taiwan, Singapore, Russia, along with a planned expansion to the African market next year.
